Sera Calcium-Test (calcium test for marine aquariums)

This test allows you to conveniently and accurately monitor calcium levels with a step of 20 mg/l. A stable calcium level is necessary for the growth of corals, aquatic plants, and invertebrates. In nature, the calcium content is approximately 410 mg/l. The optimal level in a marine aquarium is 400–450 mg/l. Regularly check this value using the Sera Calcium-Test. To raise calcium levels, use Sera marine component 1+2. Testing procedure 1. Preparation: shake the reagents before use. Rinse the cuvette with the water to be tested and fill it to the 5 ml mark. Wipe the cuvette dry. 2. Adding reagents o Add 8 drops of reagent 1, gently shake until homogeneous. Cloudiness does not affect the result. o Add 1 measuring spoon of reagent 2 (white powder), carefully swirl the cuvette until the contents dissolve. o Add reagent 3 drop by drop, counting the drops. After every 5 drops, wait to equalize the pressure in the bottle. After each drop, slightly rotate the cuvette. 3. Completing the test: stop when the color changes from pink through violet to blue and remains for 30 seconds. Multiply the number of drops of reagent 3 by 20 to obtain the calcium level (mg/l). Example: 15 drops × 20 = 300 mg/l. Store at room temperature, protect from light.
